Born in 1902, Kurt Thorandt was largely influenced by the 1920s. The 1920s and 1930s saw continued development and evolution of the key innovations of the first years of the twentieth century. It was also a time of recovery and introspection after the horrors of the First World War, which saw important shifts in politics.
