Amazing cylindrical floor lamp or table lamp in white and brown cotton featuring structure in bamboo composed of six stems in the style of to the French designer Louis Sognot. Made in Italy in the 1960s. Electrical system has been renewed. It uses 1 bulbs. Louis Sognot was a French designer best known for his elegant furniture made from a combination of rattan and wood. Sognot was influenced by Art Deco and Cubist aesthetics, giving his work a unique stylistic flair while also being usable. Born on May 25, 1892 in Paris, France, Sognot studied at the cole Bernard-Pablissy before working as a designer at the Au Printemps department store in Paris in 1919. The designer went on to become a founding member of the Union des Artistes Decoroteurs. He died in 1970 in Paris, France.
