Beautiful wooden kanban from Dai-Nippon Life Insurance Company, dating back to the 1940s-1950s.

Dimensions: height 121.5 cm, width 17.5 cm, depth 3 cm.

At the top, a crane is depicted, representing health and longevity in Japanese culture. Dai-Nippon Seimei was established in 1902.

Translation: “Application for Insurance by Dai-Nippon Life Insurance Company Limited” ()

The Japanese characters and the crane are carved from the wood and then hand-painted.

A rare and highly decorative wall decoration.
