Description
Tapestry in linen, cotton and silk hand-woven on a traditional loom in Susanna Costantini’s weaving studio. Gleaning 53 is part of the Gleaning series inspired by Agnes Varda’s documentary “Les Glaneurs et la Glaneuse”. This work was created using cotton for the warp and, following the “gleaning” approach, yarns deriving from other weaving works were selected and used to create the geometric inserts in the weft.
