Splendid pair of neoclassical engravings from the late 18th century, engraved by Thomas Burke from subjects by Angelica Kauffman. In delicate 19th century cream and gold oval frames.

Engraver: Thomas Burke, born Dublin in
1749 died in London in 1815, pupil of Dixon,
his technique is a fusion between the manner of
Earlom and that of Bartolozzi, a combination that
led him to achieve aesthetic excellence, his works are incisive and delicate
at the same time. Benezit cites his works as particularly appreciable
by Cipriani and Angelica Kauffman.
