Ink print of Vasari-Roma and Avanti newspaper on the back. Agfa paper texture from ’40s. Small fold on lower left corner, excellent conditions. Dim: cm 23,5 x 17,5 In the picture the pedagogist Maria Montessori portrayed in writing pose in a post-war style portrait. This rare photograph was probably taken after Maria Montessori returned to Italy at the end of World War II, a few years before her death. Studio Vasari is one of the leading exponents of Italian architecture and urban reportage photography. Vasari’s prints, made during three generations of photographers, are kept in the most important photographic collections in the world.
