Description
Nude from Back is an original modern artwork realized in the first decades of the 20th Century by the French artist Henri Farge (1884-1970). Original etching on ivory paper. Hand-signed in pen by the artist on the lower right corner. Numbered, on the lower left, edition of 15/30. Very Good conditions. Henri Farge (Paris, 1884 – 1970). He worked as a painter, engraver, and illustrator depicting figure and genre scenes. Farge studied for five years in Venice and Rome. In Paris, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Franais, where he won a silver medal in 1966. He also illustrated books by Claude Farrere, including LHomme qui assassina (The Man Who Killed), Devambez (1926), and Pierre Loti.
