View of Piazza Navona is an original contemporary artwork realized in 1970 by the Italian artist Giuseppe Malandrino (Modica, 1910 – Rome, 1979). Etching on cardboard. Hand-signed in pencil on the lower right corner. Numbered on the lower-left corner 74/199. Signed on the plate in the lower-right corner: G.Malandrino. Good conditions. Refined work depicting one of the most famous and interesting places in Rome: Navona Square. The work is a refined etching with deft strokes. Giuseppe Malandrino (Modica, 1910 – Rome, 1979). Malandrino was an active protagonist of the 20th century, a dreamer who has been able to transform his artistic projects into reality. Giuseppe Malandrino lives art in its authentic meaning as a search for beauty, adherence to reality, continuous experimentations towards new forms of expression. He left Modica and then he moved to Rome, where he attended the studio of Giacomo Balla who made his debut in the I Grande Esposizione d’arte futuristic that Filippo Tommaso Marinetti set up in Piazza Adriana.
