Description
Rare Sikkens chair with armrests designed by Rob Parry, 1960s. Rob Parry was a student and employee of Gerrit Rietveld. This chair is also featured on the cover and in Rob Parrys book (see photos). Nothing is mentioned about the manufacturer in Rob Parrys book. After further investigation it is likely DICO in Uden has manufactured the chair. Rob Parry worked with several manufacturers including Gelderland, Stabin Bennis and DICO. The condition is still very good, partly due to the new filling and upholstery. Material: metal, wood, Kvadrat fabric and skai. Color: gray, black. Dimensions: h x w x d = 82 x 67 x 51 cm and the seat height is 47 cm. Source: book Rob Parry and magazine Ons Huis 1956, page 0411. Nice to know: Rob Parry designed 40 chairs between 1947 and 1962.
