Description
Black table lamp designed by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce in 1972.
This lamp is known under various names: Model 660, Flex Calotta and, its nickname, Vertebra. The ribbed lacquered base and rubber arm, that hides the electrical wire, are characteristic for this model. It also indicates that this is an early version.
The diameter of the cap is 26 cm, the base is slightly smaller with 25 cm.
A comparable table lamp by Eilo Martinelli is described in the Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 166 (1969).
