Description
Russian-born, Berlin-based designer Anastasiya Koshcheeva specializes in contemporary designs that are crafted in wonder-material, birchbark. Her Svetoch Lamps are produced through a traditional binding technique without the use of adhesives in combination with modern laser technology which allows for a playful penetration of light and creates a cozy and intimate ambience.
Svetoch Lamps are available in two different sizes, as a pendant and as a floor lamp. They are made from flat pieces of naturally velvety birchbark, using a modern adaptation of traditional Siberian craft processes. Working with the lighter side of the bark is a way to celebrate the distinctive grain and colouring of the material. No two products are exactly the same as inherent contrasting accents are emphasized. High quality is ensured through elaborate craftsmanship and careful material selection.
