Description
Rare 6-piece ADO stacking cubes designed by Ko Verzuu for ADO, Dutch manufacture in 1936. ADO stands for Arbeid Door Onvolwaardigen, and was founded in 1925. Labour by Indigents refers to the limited labour power of the rehabilitating TB patients. This is a complete and very early set of six handmade cubes (1936 catalogue and item number). The condition of this vintage toy is still good with normal signs of use consistent with age and (play) use. The set comes in the colours: blue, red, yellow, green, white and black. Dimensions: h x w x d = 12 x 12 x 12 cm. Material: wood, plywood. Condition: Good.
