Description

Rare wheelbarrow designed by Ko Verzuu for Ado in ca 1950. Ado means Arbeid door onvolwaardigen, translated; labor by incapacitated, which makes this an even more special piece. Toys by Ado are being highly collected at the moment, even more than ever cause this is very decorative combined with 1950s furniture from all countries! Everyone can see these toys are inspired by De Stijl and Rietveld. This wheelbarrow looks a lot like the crate series from Rietveld and it is still in very good original condition. The green wheel looks great in contrast with the wood, signed with the big green Ado sign at the front. Would look highly decorative in any modern design interior as decoration or for a kids collection.
