Description
An absolute rarity. In the tradition of slovenian beekeeping, wooden beehive front boards are an important part. The paintings, referring to baroque art, were painted on spruce, lime, larch and lime wood. This particular panel is spruce. It comes from the initial period of creation these unique paintings, around 1820. Similar ones were created until the end of the 19th century. The painting shows St. Catherine of Alexandria with her attributes: a wooden wheel and a palm branch. These boards appear on the market extremely rarely.
