Madonna delle Rose is a graceful representation of Saint Mary realised in Italy in the mid 40s.
This statue has been finely hand-crafted and arrived in perfect conditions to our days.
This piece shows the delicate bust of Mary embraced by a frame of roses. In the catholic culture the rose’s symbolic qualities represented beauty and love.
The sculpture was thought to host a candle inside as you can see in pic n 10. As well, on the top of Mary’s head there is an opening which can permit the coming out of the incense smoke for example, or can hold an important note, or can be decorated with additional flowers indeed.
Lovely details such as the gold stars and the graceful painted nails of Saint Mary.
