Description
Art Deco Style Miniature ‘Dragon’ Sailing Boat. Europe, mid to late 20th century. A wonderful miniature sailing boat – very refined and semi-abstract. Wonderful details and appearance. Great on a desk or in a cabinet. The Dragon is a one-design keelboat designed by Norwegian Johan Anker in 1929. In 1948 the Dragon became an Olympic Class, a status it retained until the Munich Olympics in 1972. This decorative miniature boat comes in a good condition with some wear to the base.
