Description
Decorative cabinet item for storing nibs. The brass cup is placed in a carved wooden base with full-plastic figural representations.
On the bottom there is a signature – the letter R and the date 1960.
The solid base is in the form of a square with a raised plinth in which there is a round hole, a semicircular cup made of embossed brass. The container is removable – it allows you to thoroughly clean the item.
The two corners of the plinth are flanked by the steps with a total of four carved gutters for storing a feather. The other corners are decorated with an interesting scene with animals – a dog and a bird looking at each other and guarding the spell.
The woodcarving has a crude character typical of Art Deco crafts. The contour of the tool and sharp-cut edges remain clear. The form is geometric, reduced.
The values of the material – wood were exposed, without painting it, but only covering it with stain.
