Vase Art Nouveau de la Faencerie Dessiino Thulin in Belgium (1887-1973). This beautiful enameled sandstone vase is decorated with a cobalt blue glaze and decorated with brown pastilles at the pass. Thulin’s earthenware factory near Mons is founded in 1887. It is installed by the industrialist Victor Ducubu-Decaudin in an old sugar refinery. Thanks to significant capital, it transforms buildings and introduces three coal ovens and a steam engine. Victor Ducubu died in 1897, his two children became owners. The corporate name is earthenware of Thulin-A.ducobu et Cie. Between the two world wars, the factory employs 70 to 100 workers. She succeeds in selling her products in Belgium but also in Paris where an Eugne Val dealer installed Faubourg Saint Martin ensures the broadcast. The objects are made by flowing earthenware and covered with colored glazes or enamels. The products are often marked Made in Belgium, earthenware factory Thulin or for the smallest objects made in Belgium FT, sometimes only made in Belgium or Belgium but sometimes also they are without brand.
