Description
Wooden armchair from the Vienna Secession and Art Nouveau era. Unfortunately we could not assign the armchair to a designer. The design is strongly reminiscent of Rene Macintosh or Joseph Hoffmann. The interplay of vertical struts with oval and round elements is typical of the design language of the time. The pieces have not been restored, the upholstery was renewed in the 1980s.
The upholstery, has to be renewed, in my opinion. Which shouldn’t be particularly complicated. with a new upholstery, a reference to the present can be created. The pieces are then still very individual in design, but you can use the color of the fabric cover to create a reference to your own facility. A strong “up to date colour” could make a very interesting contrast.
