1950s Compact Sideboard Original Media Unit Nabytek Czech. Beautiful simple and classic Mid-Century small sideboard media unit sourced in the Czech Republic. Produced by Nabytek in Brno in the Czech Republic. Czech design will always be affiliated to the Bauhaus movement which inspired a generation of design and industrial production in Czechia principally during the second half of the 20th , with producers such as Ton and Up Zavody amongst many others. Nabyteks was one of the top end cabinet producers competing with Up Zavody. This is a high quality practical sideboard originally used as a media unit with the glass fronted right side designed for a record player. The left side has a single shelf. Internal dimensions left section 35L x 47W x 11H bottom, 28cm top. Right side internal dimension 35L x 47W x 28H bottom, 5cm top. All dimensions cm. The sideboard is very original but our workshop has gently cleaned and restored it ensuring all doors and drawers run and open smoothly. The cabinet is made from birch with dark stained birch conical legs.
