Description
This abstract composition named “Sphere – the Path” is an oil on canvas painted by Divna Jelenkovi, contemporary artist with numerous awards among which Third Prize at Art Mondial 2005 International Art Fair, Stadthalle Breisach; Acclaim of the jury at the 2005 ULUS Fall exhibition, Belgrade; Acquisition award of the Belgrade National Museum in 1997. Besides numerous exhibitions in Serbia, this artist exposed in Creighton-Davis Art Gallery, Washington DC in 2001; World Fine Art Gallery, Broadway, New York in 1999; Salles E. Sandoz, Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris in 1986 and others.
This is what she said about her work during the exhibition Organism of the Space: The idea of the Organism of the Space comprises the processes of creation, destruction and renovation of the city as a principle of a mind architecture… …A gesture of the hand, as an oscillator, assembles the structures made of clusters of light beams in spherical form. They open the gates to unknown spaces, forever resonating in all directions of spiral systems…
This painting is made not to be framed, having the painted canvas continuing around the inside structural frame.
