Description
This is an original 1930s filing cabinet chest of drawers. The chest is made in solid oak with oak panelling at the sides. The chest has a narrow set of four large drawers with the most beautiful original wrought iron handles. The oak has a lovely colour and patina in a pale to mid tone. The drawers have a split base which would have originally had a sliding divider, but they are still totally usable for fabrics or paper work, with the option of placing a small cardboard base to cover the gap.
Good condition for age. Good working order with natural signs of age throughout. To note, there are no name plates on the cabinets, there is some light pen marks on a couple of drawer fronts and the top drawer has a broken base at the back of the drawer. Please see pics for details.
