Description
Portraits is an Original etching realized by Frdric Villot (1809-1875) after Eugne Delacroix. Good condition on a yellowed paper, included a white cardboard passepartout ( 64×51 cm). Hand-signed by the artist on the margins. The artwork represents three portraits and a figure of a musician. Marie-Joseph Frdric Villot (31 October 1809 27 May 1875) was a French printmaker and friend of the prominent Romantic painter Eugne Delacroix, was also an art historian, who served as paintings curator of the Louvre Museum from 1848 to 1861. Born at Lige, a possession of the Napoleonic Empire, he died at Paris.
