Demain (Tomorrow) is an original modern artwork realized in 1980s by the Belgian illustrator Jean Michel Folon (1934-2005). Original etching and aquatint. Hand signed and numbered on the lower margin. Edition of 69/90. Includes a walnut frame: 58 x 1.5 x 72 cm Jean Michel Folon (1934 2005) The Belgian illustrator, painter, and sculptor, Jean Michel Folon worked with many materials and in many fields: watercolor, printmaking, sculpture, tapestries, paintings, stamps, and theater sets. His work is inspired by the principles of poetry. Among other exhibitions, he had solo shows at the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels (1975), at the Lefebre Gallery in New York, and at the Alice Pauli Gallery in Lausanne (1979). In 1990, a major exhibition brought together his works at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The artist founded his own museum, the Fondation Folon in 2000, located in La Hulpe Solvay in Belgium.
