Josef Steib (born February 13, 1898 in Munich, September 29, 1957 in Cochem) was a German painter and etcher. He studied at the Dsseldorf art academy. Lived in Berlin for some time. In 1948 he moved to Cochem with his wife. Steib takes up a place within Eifel painting and was firmly anchored with his wife Brunhilde in the community of Cochem.
