Bijinga is an original modern artwork realized by Keisai Eisen in the 1830s. Oban from the series “Keisei dochu Sugoroku, mitate Tokaido gojusan stugi” (The Sugoroku game with courtesans along the 53 stations of Tokaido Street). A courtesan of the house of Owaru is sitting in front of a Tokonoma alcove with her boys on her lap and talking to him. Total dimensions: 38 x 25. Signed in plate: Keisei Eisen ga. Publisher: Tsutaya Kichizo. Censored by: Kiwame. Good impression, faed, glued at upper corners, cut, slightly creased and soiled.
