Description
Large Giltwood Picture Frame with Intricate Decoration Louis XVI Style
This large giltwood picture frame is profusely decorated with a recurring pattern of swirling leaves and flowers.
Sourced in the South of France, with a still life insert and ‘Carcassone’ written on the reverse of the card.
The frame is in its original condition and the gilding has a great aged patina.
It is joined well and in good condition with only minor losses to decorative edges – please see the photographs.
Please note that there is no back board or glass and that the picture is purely for illustration purposes. It is a print and has some marks and water damage.
