Description
This large – actually huge – hand-thrown ceramic bowl is a truly unusual work of art, very much in the style of Noomi Backhausen, I dare say with a pinch of Pablo Picasso too!
Beautifully decorative and impressive, the head of Medusa in a classic mid-century color scheme of beige, blue and dark caramel brown, I place it in the late 1960s to early 1970s in the Netherlands.
Unique studio pottery from Ambacht Volendam, Netherlands.
Signed by the artist ”Ambacht Volendam” and (possibly) ”M K”.
Signed by hand.
Flawless condition.
Colours may appear slightly lighter in the main image.
