Description
Woman is an original colored screen print realized by Oscar Pelosi during the 1980s . The artwork is hand-signed in pencil by the artist on the lower right. Numbered, on the lower left. Good conditions on a white cardboard. Limited edition of 150 copies, with the label of certificate on the rear “Fondazione Di Paolo”. Oscar Pelosi (Ariano Irpino, July 25, 1938 – Pian del Voglio, May 12, 1996) was an Italian painter and engraver. The artist is known at the age of twenty with his unmistakable style, painting landscapes, interiors, still lifes, sacred subjects and portraits, but once freed from academic reminiscences – through various experiences and an intense and scrupulous work – takes on its own “character” and, with freedom of pictorial language, is associated with the small group of artists who at the end of the sixties, proposed a new figuration with clear reference to the contemporary aesthetic vision, participating in numerous exhibitions, national and collective reviews, capturing the interest and attention of critics.
