Description
Landscape is an original etching, realized by Otto B. De Kat in 1944, signed and dated on the lower left. The State of preservation is good. Included a Passepartout: 50x 32.5 cm. Otto Boudewijn de Kat a Dutch painter and art critic, (7 June 1907 in Dordrecht 30 April 1995 in Laren), influenced by the cole de Paris. well-known for his landscapes and still lifes with an intimate, calm atmosphere. The artwork represents a landscape with the small cottages and huge tall trees, delicately harmonized in a peaceful atmosphere, as it is style of the artist and his poetical language of expression. His artworks are in Frans Hals Museum and Teylers Museum in Haarlem and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
