Description
The Japanese Umbrella is an Original Etching and drypoint realized by Raphael Drouart (1884-1972). Good condition included a white cardboard passpartout (50×63.5 cm). Hand-signed and numbered by the artist on the lower margin. Maurice Raphal Drouart , born in Choisy-le-Roi on December 25 , 1884 and dead the April 8 , Nogent-sur-Marne , is a French engraver , painter and illustrator . In the 1920s , Drouart began to work as an illustrator for many art publishers, including Arthur Goldscheider , who grouped all his artistic collaborators under the name “L’volution”; they showed their productions during the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts (Paris, 1925).
