A small abstract painting entitled “Landscape from Krakow at dusk” by Polish artist Ryszard Ledwos, signed. Made in the technique of oil paints on the plate.
This abstract landscape attracts attention with its texture and fantastic colors consisting of light and dark shades of blue, red, white and yellow. The painting is framed in a large, gray frame. On the back of the picture there is a signature: Ryszard Ledwos, Krakw os. Sportowe 29/6, Landscape from Krakow at dusk, Oil-size: 18 x 18 cm.
Ryszard Ledwos is a Polish painter who lived in the years 1926-2007, since the 1950s he was associated with the artistic milieu of Nowa Huta in Krakow. He has performed at the Rytm gallery. His work is extremely diverse. He painted abstract and figurative works, many of his works show the influence of cubist art, they are strongly geometric and harmonious in color. In his paintings, he used various bases, which made his works differ in terms of artistic effects. Nowa Huta was a frequent topic of his works, it was not only the artist’s place of residence, but also his source of inspiration.
