Description
Nakamura Nanji II as Otsuyu is an original modern artwork realized by Utagawa Hirosada (Japanese, active 182575) in 1851. Original Woodcut Chuban triptych, 1851. Nakamura Nanji II as Otsuyu, Matsumoto Daigoro IV as Konishi Yajuro and Nakamura Utaemon IV as Futami Katsugoro in the play Keisei Kiyome no funauta. A couple with a child sits at a hibachi. In the snowy garden, a visitor whose intention is probably to kill or rob the child. Signed: Hirosada. Excellent impression, a little bit faded, backed, few wormholes, fold at lower left margin.
