Description
Original 6 Cylindres Berliet black and white vintage poster. The New six-cylinder models were introduced in 1927.
Berliet was a French manufacturer of automobiles, buses, trucks, and military vehicles among other vehicles based in Vnissieux, outside of Lyon, France. Founded in 1899, and apart from a five-year period from 1944 to 1949 when it was put into ‘administration sequestre’ it was in private ownership until 1967 when it then became part of Citron, and subsequently acquired by Renault in 1974.
Black and white posters are a rarity as far as antiques go. The original idea was to catch the attention of passersby in every possible way and color was an especially important tool in advertising when posters were the only large ads to reach the public. We think that the absence of color actually gives these car pieces a touch of class.
Original Lithograph Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. Unique item.
