Description
Rame is a stunning drinking set realised by Giancarlo Scapin in 1978. He is one of the major European ceramic sculptor.
Rame is made of precious Grs, which is a type of ceramic cooked at really high temperatures (1200). This refined characteristic dives solidity to the fragile material and makes it more valuable. A second technique was applied which comes from the Japanese tradition, called Rak which donates unicity to each piece. In fact all the pieces comes in different hues of brownish copper color and are limited edition. This set is not only functional but it needs to consider an artistic sculpture from the master Scapin.
The jug shows Scapini’s signature on the base.
The set is composed by:
– The Jug
Height : 20 cm / 7.9 inch
Diameter : 10 cm / 4 inch
– 6 glasses
Height : 8.5 cm / 3.4 inch
Diameter : 8 cm / 3.2 inch
The warm and unpredictable hues of this set change from copper to wheat color.
Because of its size, it can be used as water, wine, tea or coffee jug. This artistic drinkware comes in perfect condition. It was the personal collectible set of a ceramic dealer from Milano and it has never been used. A sophisticated example of vintage Italian craftsmanship, ready to surprise your guests!
