Description
A design classic, the Wassily Chair was designed by the Hungarian-American architect and designer Marcel Breuer (05.190-07.1981) around 1925 and has matured into a design icon today. The armchair offered here is an early creation by Gavina.
The Gavina models, as well as the early versions from Knoll International, only had a sticker for identification. The modern models have the manufacturer’s name incorporated into the frame. In addition, Gavina has partly worked with the signature in the leather, as we find it on this model.
Manufactured in 1925 by Thonet, restored in 1964 by Gavina, after the Gavina company was taken over by Knoll Int. (1968), manufactured by Knoll-International (to this day).
