Old goat, jug, gargoulette, water pitcher in glazed green sandstone. nineteenth century
Sublime chevrette, stoneware gargoulette fired at 1200 degrees. The jug dates from the 19th century and is in very good condition for its age, with an incredible patina. A piece of great beauty.
It was used for water conservation.
It can still be used for water or as a decorative piece.
This gargoulette comes from the Arige department in the Pyrenees.
